Lightest double to single buggy Stroller

If you're looking for a light double-stroller that folds, the size and weight are important aspects to take into consideration. Choosing one that's easy to handle and compact when not in use will make it easier to place into the trunk of your car and maneuver through airport gates and streets.

The most lightweight strollers have an easy, light fold and self-standing mechanisms to reduce stress on parent bodies. Many strollers come with multiple seating configurations and some can even accommodate car seats for infants.

Kolcraft Cloud Plus

The design is geared towards families on the move. Compact and light weight, it has the ability to fold in one hand. All-terrain wheels and front suspension as well as a multi-position reclining seats allow children to weigh up to 50 lbs. Trays for both children and parents, large storage basket and 3-tier canopy that has a windows that peek out to maximize sun protection.

The Cloud scored one of the lowest marks in our quality tests because it has a thin seat, made of hard plastic, and a design that feels dated. It's also expensive compared to other lightweight strollers and is therefore not the best option in the event you're looking for a low-cost alternative.

Although it's not the lightest double stroller, it comes with enough features worth a look. The swiveling front wheels make it easy to move on flat surfaces, and it is able to jump over curbs with ease unlike many other light strollers that veer off course when trying to accomplish the same thing. The Cloud's low handle is a disadvantage, however; it's nearly at knee height and not adjustable. It's uncomfortable to push with your legs hanging in the air like that and it's also not helping that it's not padded.

In our tests, we discovered that the Cloud was easy to set up and use. Close it can be a bit more difficult. You need to slide the slider before you press a large white button. This can be a hassle, especially if you're juggling children while doing it.

The Cloud has a small, but deep storage basket that will accommodate a medium-sized diaper bag. The basket is a bit narrow, and you may need to leave something in there to reach the back. The Cloud includes an adult and child tray with two cup holders however they're both too narrow to accommodate larger cups or bottles.

Kolcraft is a Kolcraft brand has been in operation since 1946 and is a third generation family-owned business. The first products they made included diapers and crib pads however, they now make various baby products, including highchairs, infant car seats, strollers and toys. The company is based in Chicago and is an American manufacturer.

Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS

Jeep Destination Ultralight is a lightweight double stroller with a minimalist design that's perfect for traveling. It's extremely light at 18 lbs (lighter than many single strollers!) It folds flat, making it easy to transport and store. It also has independently reclined seats and large all-weather SPF50 sun visors with windows that peek out and extra-large storage bags underneath the seat. The visors can be adjusted to fit kids of various heights. Plus, it has one-step linked parking brake and is Disney-size approved.

The swivel wheels of the Jeep are also fantastic for maneuvering over bumps and uneven surfaces. However, this stroller doesn't accept car seats and therefore your children must be six months old and have solid neck control to ride in the front seat. It does have an attractive, three-panel sun canopy, however and each seat comes with its own snack tray and cup holders for parents.

Valco Baby Snap Duo Trend is another incredibly lightweight stroller that can be used side by side. It's heavier than the Kolcraft Cloud Plus, at 23 pounds. However, it's narrower and smaller (26.5 inches wide!) and comes with a lot of elegant details that make it perfect for travel. It is easy to fold, is very maneuverable and can fit in airplane overhead compartments and trunks easily.

Like the Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ thule double stroller and Mountain Buggy Nano Duo, the Joovy Kooper X2 is another tri-fold, ultralight double stroller. It's similar to the Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS but it has a few distinct differences. It's a little more expensive, but offers a more shady sun canopy and more maneuverability. It also comes with a handy carry strap and can accommodate children up to 44 pounds per seat.

Summer 3D Pac for Infants CS+

Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ is a stroller that is light with a lot of features. It's not just incredibly light at just 13 pounds and has plenty of storage in the form of parent and child cup holders, a sippy cup for children pocket and a parent storage pocket and much more. This stroller can also be used with a child's chair and comes with a brake with a flip-flop feature that is easily engaged. It's designed to grow with your kids from a baby stroller to a toddler stroller simply by attaching the car seat adapters (sold separately) and is suitable for children aged 6 months of age and up.

Another thing to consider about this stroller is that it has swivel wheels and doesn't have locking features which means it won't be the best option for rocky or hilly terrain. It's still a great option for families with children, since it is easy to maneuver on paved surfaces and other smooth surfaces.

It folds quickly, and its handlebars are close to the ground for easy transportation. Its only drawback is its limited storage space. When it is full of kids' stuff it feels squeezed.
