The cover will fall off, and then slide off, revealing the manual blade! If you still can't locate the button, search the newly revealed manual key access to determine if there is a hidden slot or lever.

Closing the Windows

Volvo key fobs feature an unnoticed feature that allows users to instantly lower all windows. This is great when you're trying to squeeze into a cramped parking space, or just when you're in need of fresh air in the cabin while driving.

To unlock the windows simply press and hold the unlock button on your Volvo remote for four seconds. This will lower the windows and the sunroof if you have one. Then, when you're done with your car, you can close everything by pressing the lock button for four seconds.

You can also use your key fob to turn on your car's panic alarm. It will emit an alarm that is loud and attention-grabbing that can scare off thieves and allow you to return home safely after a long night out. This feature is useful if you are living in a secluded area or you want to safeguard your family while they're away.

Opening the Tailgate

Volvo has loaded its key fob with number of useful features. These are perfect when you're juggling shopping or helping your kids load up their sports gear after a workout.

For example, if you have the Hands-Free Power Liftgate with logo projection and programmable height (if equipped) you can open it using the key fob. Simply press the button to open it, and use the same button to close it when you're done.

Turning off the Alarm
