Line-up

The band's third album, Turn Back, marked the return to the traditional sextet style of the previous albums. It was a more ferocious, consistent effort with an edge that was more pronounced than Hydra. The more edgier sound of Turn Back reflected the development of the group. The drummer Bobby Kimball's increasing proficiency was evident in the vocal delivery of Joseph Williams, who had become more confident and mature.
