Path of Exile Item Upgrading

In Path of Exile, item upgrading (Going in Kingranks) is one of the best ways to improve your gear without relying on big-ticket drops or trade. This article will teach you how to upp your items efficiently.

Upgrades to equipment give an additional bonus to the item's stats. This bonus scales with the upgrade component's level and rarity.

Components

Upgrade components make your armour and weapons better. They can be found through destroying enemies, buying them from karma vendors, or finding them in item-spheres. Unlike most other items upgrades aren't destroyed when removed from an item.
