This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great option for parents seeking a second stroller that's priced reasonably. It was awarded an impressive score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and folded size which means it's light, compact when folded and easy to lift into a car trunk or closet. It also has the option of reclining in multiple positions and an adult cup holder. Other key features include two large hanging storage bags and 360-degree front wheels that are shock-absorbing.

It performed better in our push and turn test than a lot of the strollers we tested, but was still difficult to maneuver over uneven ground or through narrow doors. The sunshades it has were among the smallest of all strollers we tested. They only cover the top, and do not feature peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have larger sunshades.

It took us less than 3 minutes to put together the Delta using a standard manual. All of the components required tools. However, it's missing some essential features that we think you should not compromise on in a double stroller, for example, a larger basket and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

Despite being a small pushchair, it was able to handle the everyday bumps with ease and was able to pass through doorways without fuss.

The front wheels can be locked into forward positions or allow them to swivel which helps when covering rough terrain. We let the front wheels to rotate while walking along the stony path. It was able to handle this well, although it seemed to be a bit bumpier.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is famous for their all-terrain, 3-wheeler jogging pushchairs, but they also make a good range of 4-wheeler strollers. City Tour 2 is their most well-known model. It is easy to use and folds small enough to fit into the car boot, even with the carrycot attached.

It is heavier than the other strollers we've tested, but because it comes with rubber composite wheels it feels solid and well-constructed. It is easy to maneuver on different terrains, and even with two children with shopping bags and other things.

Both the seat and the carrycot come with hoods that can be removed to reveal the UV50and sun canopy extension. They are sturdy and waterproof, in contrast to other hoods for prams that can be blown back into toddlers faces.

It's not a lot of storage space but it has a large basket deep enough to hold a changing bag or plenty of food. You can also pair it with a Baby Jogger car seat that is suitable for babies that weigh up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are sold separately). If you need a stroller that can be taken on the road, then the City Tour 2 is an excellent choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first rolled onto the scene, it instantly captured the hearts of parents all over the world. It's an aluminum-framed stroller that can be used from baby's first days to beyond. The canopy/seat has two extra-large fixed or flip out sun visors. Both are UPF50+. However the toggle closure isn't great it's not as quiet as Velcro and may wake napping babies.
