WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boost in certain stats. Each upgrade items boosts the level of an item level upgrade (check this link right here now) by +3. A random substat is also added to each upgrade.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like Eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item level upgrade will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities and can be visited at any time to upgrade your gear. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader every few weeks to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item, however they'll always be cheaper than buying new gear. For example upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points while buying a similar item from another player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapons, armor, tools, and accessory upgrades. They are purchased by players from NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for various currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor with a button, which will display an image of the item at its next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the item slot and the current level of the item, with weapons costing more than gloves or bracers for example. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades give discounts on Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain level, it can be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currency types.

A lot of locations offer upgraders for items in addition to the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount and a chance to get a brand new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrades increases according to the number of items that are being upgraded. It is also possible to be increased by having players complete some specific achievements or quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at the start unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. The NPCs who can facilitate upgrades are only available through a variety of methods. This is both a positive and a drawback.

In Season 3 the upgrade system has been altered a bit, with numerous new features added. Once a player obtains an upgrade to a certain level for an item in an armor slot, upgrading other items to that level will cost less, even when they are part of an entirely different set of gear.

The discount is available to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players reach certain achievement milestones.

Crests

Players have a variety of options for upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to all players for upgrading. Crests are more special and are utilized during specific item upgrader mod level upgrades. Crests are a key element of the Dragonflight gear progression system that was introduced in 10.1 and are available in four ranks.

First, you must be aware that the crests can only be purchased for equipment that is that is of a particular rank. Each rank comes with an upgrade path that is different. The most basic and straightforward upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the most complex can require as much as 20 crests based on the type of gear that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through finishing content at the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and engaging in outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, dungeons or raids of any difficulty for higher-tier items or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses or dungeons to obtain endgame gear. These crests can be exchanged with an item upgrader such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and pathways.

Utilizing these new currencies isn't too difficult, but the system will introduce a few modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece of equipment has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This change is intended to allow players to get their gear up to the highest level possible on all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

Another significant change is that crests have one use, so it's important to use them wisely. It is best to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the top-quality equipment you can find, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is especially true for items such as trinkets and rings that take up multiple slots. The discount for the entire account will only be applicable if all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
