Item upgrades are a common and crucial method to enhance the performance of many items in Path of Exile. They can be a great source of extra damage or more AD or even more attachments.

Armor

Like other upgrade components jewels can be swapped with another jewel of the same type without destroying it. However it is only possible to replace a jewel in an item of equipment once.
