If you're on a budget and don't need a stroller that can double into car seat carriers The Babyzen Yoyo is a good choice. It has a simple, one-step foot brake that's flip-flop friendly.

It's easy to push, and it feels solid when navigating kerbs and woodland paths. It's also easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned itself a reputation as the ultimate lightweight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, due to its nimble maneuverability and foldable design that can be tucked away in aeroplane overhead luggage. The most recent version comes with independent suspension on all 4 wheels constructed of Hytrel elastomer. This allows it to perfectly traverse all terrains and types'.

The bent fabric bassinet, the base YOYO2 and the 6+ months colour pack combine to create a stylish pushchair that has a soft elegant look. The base frame alone weighs just over a kilogram and is so light that you can easily lift it out of the box (and do it with one hand).

The hood, as an example is able to snap onto the YOYO2 with a reassuring way. It is also machine washable at 30 degrees which helps avoid staining caused by smushed and mashed carrot puffs and rice cakes. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as an infant stroller. It can also be transformed to a stroller by 6 months with the YOYO connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is a great choice for parents looking for an adaptable stroller. The Evenflo Xplore can be transformed from a stroller to a wagon by simply flipping the handle. Parents can then decide the best single buggy mode for their needs. The wagon can be used by two or more children from 6 months old to 5 years old, and it comes with a large storage basket for everything you need on the go.

The Xplore has dual canopies which rotate from front-to-back, providing adequate sun protection for the entire family. It has a smaller footwell than other wagons. This isn't ideal for long drives or naps.

The frame of the Xplore wagon is solid and sturdy, but it doesn't bend as much as some other wagons we have tested. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the competition, and it does not close tightly when folded. It is easy to move however, and can be able to fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents looking for a secondary stroller that is affordable. It scored highly in our Strollers and Multiples Test for weight and folded dimensions. This means it's lightweight, compact when folded, and easy to move and store in a trunk of a car. It also comes with a multi-position reclined seat and cup holders for the parent. Other features of note include 360-degree shock absorbing front wheels as well as two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling.

In our test of the push and turn it performed better than the majority of other strollers that we test, but it's not the most maneuverable on uneven terrain or through narrow doorways. Its sunshades are among the ones we tested the smallest, providing only direct overhead coverage, and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have significantly larger canopy sizes.

It took us less than three minutes to put together the Delta with a standard manual. None of the parts required tools. It's lacking certain features we believe are essential in a double stroller. This includes an extra-large basket, reclining seats and leg rests that can be adjusted.

It is really easy to maneuver, and the one-hand recline of the seat as well as the huge shopping basket make it easy for parent-tots to get the child in and out of the seat quickly. Despite being a narrow pushchair it handled the everyday bumps with ease and was able to pass through doorways without fuss.

The front wheels can to be locked in a forward position, or they can swivel. This is useful for navigating through rough terrain. On our walk on the stony path, we let them swivel and it performed well although it did seem a little bumpier than others on test.

Baby Jogger is most well-known for its 3-wheeled all-terrain, jogging strollers. However, they also manufacture a vast selection of pushchairs with four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most popular models. It folds easily and can fit in the trunk of a car even with an attached carrycot.

It is a bit heavier than other strollers that we test, but the wheels are rubber composite, which makes it feel well-built and durable. It is able to maneuver effortlessly across all types of terrain and it's easy to carry even with two children and a shopping bag.

Both the seat and carrycot have hoods that can be lowered to reveal a UV50and sun canopy extensions. They are sturdy and waterproof, in contrast to other prams hoods which can be blown back into toddlers faces.

It does not have much storage space but it has a large basket deep enough to hold a change bag or plenty of groceries. It can also be connected with a Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a travel system for infants up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters sold separately). If you need a stroller that can be used on the road, the City Tour 2 is an ideal choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first appeared on the scene, it instantly captured the hearts of parents across the world. It's an aluminium framed stroller that will be with you throughout your baby's first years and beyond. It has a number of stand-out features including the possibility of flipping the seat between parent and world-facing, a large UPF 50+ canopy that has an eye-shade that flips out as well as a large basket and adjustable handlebar.

The chassis is equipped with a built-in suspension system that reduces the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are constructed from tough foam and minimise punctures. Our tester found it smooth to push and was able to manoeuvre it through narrow streets without difficulty.

It folds in four simple steps, and locks automatically with no fuss. It can also be folded and raised for easier transport down the stairs or in the car's boot. It also comes travel system equipped with the ability to add a car seat or carrycot using the adaptors that come with it. The brakes are easy to use using a single infant stroller action colored and flip-flop friendly.

This budget single stroller with standing board pushchair is surprisingly easy to maneuver and features excellent dual suspension, a one-hand fold and a convenient carry strap. It's also very light and durable. The seat can be reclined into many different positions. It also has a double-breathable mattress that's suitable for infants.

The canopy/seat comes with two extra-large fixed or flip out sun visors and both are UPF50+. However, the toggle closure isn't great - it's not as silent as Velcro and can wake sleepy babies.

The Duet is an angled stroller that can be used by twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It can be used with two infant car seat and some carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can be positioned to face each other or can be turned around to face parents, theoretically cutting down on sibling rivalries over who should sit with dad and mom. It has a huge bottle holder, a gear tray as well as snack trays and an adjustable mat. It also has an automated frame lock and a compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2
