Our BMW ghost immobiliser is an innovative next-generation device that does not require cutting OEM wires or adding an aftermarket alarms or key fobs. It is connected to the BMW's CAN data network and is programmed with an encrypted, secure PIN code that can be accessed using buttons installed in your car. Service Mode / Valet Mode

Anti-Hijack

With high-tech thieves becoming more advanced, the security technology is continuing to improve, which is why Ghost has developed this discreet and non-obtrusive immobiliser. It is designed to prevent thieves from acquiring a new key or replacing the ECU in order to start your car and drive away. Ghost is connected to your CAN network and utilizes buttons on your vehicle to create an individual push-sequence that has to be entered before the engine can be started.

When the anti-hijacking feature is activated the attempt to restart the engine will be stopped. Once the system detects that the vehicle is no longer moving, it will honk the horn and flash the indicators, if it is not able to find the correct code it will also stop the engine (where possible). By entering your push sequence, or entering service mode, you can deactivate the Anti-Hijack function. This allows your vehicle to temporarily start without having to enter the PIN.

If you own a GPS device that is connected to your BMW and you want to make use of it to disable the Anti-Hijack function so that you can continue to use your navigation system when the vehicle is in a parking spot. You can also use your mobile phone to control the anti theft feature and other functions.

Remote Control

We can connect the ghost Immobiliser car device to your mobile app to enable remote control of keyless start and go functionality. This is useful when you have to go somewhere other than home and valet or mechanic needs to start your vehicle. The system lets you start your car by selecting drive, then leave the service mode without having to use your key fobs. You can also track your vehicle on an interactive map on your smartphone.

The Ghost can be positioned on the dashboard or in the center console. It is completely concealed and secure, and does not need any additional wiring. The device is connected to the CAN Data Network of the vehicle (similar to an Ethernet cable) and a personal pin code is inserted into it. The pin code must be chosen prior to the engine's start. This stops thieves from gaining access to the system by using an unauthorized clone or replacement ECU.

If the vehicle is stolen the Ghost will go into service mode and shut down all functions until you have the PIN code or the mobile application to disable it. This feature was designed to safeguard your vehicle from thieves with high-tech equipment who use relay boxes to steal it. This will stop thieves from using their mobile phones to activate your sat-nav or mp3 players to track your vehicle!

Ghost can also stop 'Relay-style Frequency Amplification'. This is the most frequent method of stealing a car with a keyfob that's been copied, or stolen by hacking. Ghost enables you to prevent this by installing an anti-theft device in your vehicle that is called Secure-A Key. The device is installed in the key-fob of your vehicle and disconnects its battery after a few inactive minutes. This can be done with the majority of modern PKE keys.
